Shelford Students visit Mazda Headquarters

A group of 70 Year 10 Shelford students visited Mazda Headquarters as part of their automotives course. Areas covered included basic skills that are required to maintain a vehicle and also safety issues. This training session covered a variety of practical skills such as changing tyres, checking tyre pressure, water and coolant levels, as well as the career opportunities available in the automotive industry. There is increasing emphasis on women becoming involved in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) and the School was grateful for this opportunity provided by Mazda.
