Year 11 Subject Selections

All Year 11 students will take:

  • English
  • Physical Education
  • Pastoral Care Program

If a student is selecting VCE studies at a Unit 1 and 2 level, the student will take six subjects and an English study. If a student is selecting VCE studies which include a Unit 3 and 4 subject or a VET course, the student will take five subjects and an English study.

VOCATIONAL EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS (VET)

The following VET courses may be considered. Further options may be available through network arrangements. Students interested in these courses should see the VCE Principal for further information.

  • Community Service
  • MultiMedia
  • Hospitality

VET programs provide an opportunity for students to learn from experience in training and actual workplace experience.

YEAR 12 SUBJECT SELECTIONS

To obtain a satisfactory completion for VCE students must have 3 units of English studies. VTAC advises that for calculation of a student's ENTER, satisfactory completion of both Units 3 and 4 of an English sequence is required. Students should carefully read the advice in the Subject Selection Handbook and consult the Careers Counsellor when selecting English studies.
