Scholarships
Shelford is offering a limited number of General Excellence and Music Scholarships for students in Years 5 and 6 for 2023, with applications closing 29 July 2022.
2023 Music Scholarships: Years 5 and 6
Students with a talent for music as well as academic excellence are encouraged to apply for the Music Scholarship for entry into Years 5 and 6 in 2023. Music audition and an interview with the Principal or Senior Staff member are required.
As a general guide, students who apply for a Music Scholarship must have achieved the following minimum AMEB grades (or equivalent):
- Woodwind – AMEB Grade 2 (Oboe and Bassoon Grade 1)
- Brass – AMEB Grade 1
- Strings – AMEB Grade 4 (Double Bass Grade 2)
- Piano – AMEB Grade 5

2023 General Excellence Scholarships: Years 5 and 6
Your daughter deserves to thrive. The General Excellence Scholarships recognise that being a successful Shelford girl is about more than just academic excellence.
We’re seeking Year 5 and 6 girls who are passionate about what they do, be it in the arts, sciences, sport or other.
Tell us how your daughter would benefit from a Shelford education, and what attributes she would bring to contribute to the life of the School.
The successful applicants will demonstrate some or all of the following:
- natural curiosity and love of learning
- enthusiastic participation in a variety of activities
- high levels of effort
- academic achievement
- well-developed communication skills
- an ability to embrace the values of the School.
Applicants will be required to attend an interview with the Principal or another senior staff member.
