Year 10

Opportunity and becoming VCE ready

Our Year 10 program educates the whole person – emotionally, socially, intellectually and physically. Studies support the transition to becoming more independent and mature learners.

Students are encouraged to be involved in sport, ensembles, performances and leadership opportunities such as Peer Support, School Parliamentarians and Community Service.

Core subjects are undertaken by all Year 10 students include English, Physical Education, Humanities, Science and Mathematics. Year 10 students have the opportunity to select from a range of elective subjects as well as VCE, VET or VSL. Quærite Wellbeing Program

Our Year 10 students participate in the Quærite Wellbeing Program, a wellbeing and personal development program that operates throughout the whole school.

Peer support leaders

Having undertaken Peer Support training at the end of Year 9, students can apply to be Peer Support Leaders in Year 10. This entails running sessions with the Year 7 students and attending the Year 7 Camp in Term 1.

Careers

Our Year 10 students participate in the Career 4sight Program, with a focus on participating in opportunities to explore different career paths; engaging with potential employers, training providers and alumni; and creating an individual Career Pathway Plan. Year 10 students also undertake Morrisby Career Profile testing and a week of work experience.
