Archives

The memories and memorabilia held by our archives help us to tell the story of Shelford’s rich heritage.

Located onsite, the Shelford Archives contain a unique collection of items that trace the history of the School from when it was opened by Miss Emily Dixon in 1898, and of 'Helenslea', our iconic Georgian mansion that was constructed for Sir George Stephen in 1863.

Our collection includes photographs, school uniforms, trophies, school branded souvenirs and the 1928 inaugural edition of the School’s magazine Quaerite.

Donations of memorabilia from Shelfordians and their families are gratefully welcomed and will be used to document the School's history.

If you are interested in speaking with our Archivist or donating an item to our collection, please contact Mr Francis Danesi on 03 9524 7437 or archives@shelford.vic.edu.au
