Camps and trips

With a focus on developing resilience and determination through exposure to new environments and challenges, participating in experiences outside of the classroom is an important aspect of the Shelford student journey.

Camps

Students from Years 3–11 attend camp. Camps enable students to develop stronger relationships with their peers, meet personal goals, have a sense of adventure, initiative and an enjoyment of active learning. Students are challenged to participate in a range of outdoor adventure activities with camps ranging from 3–5 days duration, set in locations across Victoria.

Trips

Under the management of an external provider and supported by Shelford staff, international expeditions are offered to students in the Senior School. With a focus on creating global citizens with an international understanding of justice, equality and social service, past trips have ventured to Cambodia, China, Borneo, Vietnam Nepal and Thailand.
