Announcement from Board Chair

Dear Parents, Guardians and Community of Shelford,

We wish to advise that the Board has accepted the resignation of our Principal Katrina Brennan, effective at the end of the school year.

Katrina has made a significant contribution to the strength and empowerment of the young women in our care by expanding the opportunities and programs available at Shelford.

In her time with us, she has built a culture of excellence and has continued to develop a team of outstanding educators and professional services staff, who inspire, motivate and guide our students each day.

Our VCE and NAPLAN results attest to the strong academic programs, outstanding learning culture and excellent teaching at the school.

While Katrina will be missed and we thank her for her dedication and commitment to Shelford, we also congratulate her on her appointment as Deputy Principal - Head of Senior School at Scotch College in Hawthorn.

In 2024, Deputy Principal, Pauline Cutajar will assume the role of Acting Principal while the Board embarks on a recruitment process. Over the next four months, there will be a handover program to ensure a smooth transition, although Pauline is, of course, well known to the school leadership and community.

I hope you will be able to join the Board and staff towards the end of the year when we have the opportunity to congratulate and farewell Katrina.
